I was going to talk about raw/organic vegan food tomorrow, but I noticed there was a lot of talk about GMO’s and I wanted to address the issue. I try to avoid them myself, but I’m not a perfect vegan. I could be healthier. That said, I think when someone is first starting off as vegan, especially if they’re not a cook and a fan of microwave meals for one, it’s important to show the spectrum of vegan products out there and then pick and choose. I became more aware of raw, organic foods and my own impact on the environment AFTER I went vegan. I first went vegan at 15, I couldn’t cook- and I’m thankful for Amy’s microwave meals. After I burned down a couple of kitchens, I began to wean myself off more processed foods and learn to cook on my own. I’m still terrible at it, but I make some bomb hummus. I know fashion, but don’t ask me to cater an event. I once melted a George Forman grill, but that’s another story. There’s some raw foodies I’d like to give a shout out to: @therawproject @rawveganista @peppermintpetals @blacvelvet @xvegankittyx @rock_rose and @veganfromvenus. I’m sure I’m missing some, but they post delicious HEALTHY foods so DEF check them out. If there are any topics/suggestions you’d like me to cover, please let me know and I’ll try and put a post together. Here is the RAW vegan food pyramid Ta da! #vegansofig
